As part of their commitments as the official airline for the 2010 FIFA Football World Cup in South Africa, Emirates Airline will be adding a daily flight to Cape Town from the end of March 2008, resulting in an additional 2000 seats a week into Cape Town.

The venues and schedule for the 2010 FIFA Football World Cup were recently announced:

• The opening match will be on 11 June 2010 at Soccer City in Johannesburg.

• The final on the 11^th of July at the same venue.

Match venues will be in the following cities:

• Johannesburg (2 venues – Soccer City & Ellis Park),

• Pretoria, Nelspruit, Rustenburg, Bloemfontein,

• Cape Town, Durban, Polokwane and Port Elizabeth.
