Located on the Old Coach Road at Agatha, the five-star Coach House Hotel
offers world-class hospitality in luxurious comfort and scenic tranquility
in the friendly ambience of a gracious country estate.
Brimming with history, the Coach House is on the site of the original
staging post and hotel used by travellers in the feverish gold rush days of
the late 19th century.
Situated on 560 lush hectares of the Letaba district in Limpopo Province,
the hotel nestles atop a spur looking over the verdant Letsitele valley and
the dramatic splendour of the Drakensberg mountains.
Countless satisfied guests return time and again to this well-established
country hotel, for its magnificent setting, abundant attractions and
consistently superb hospitality.
Since it first opened in 1983, the Coach House has gained a reputation both
locally and abroad as "one of the finest and friendliest hotels in South
Africa".
Children over the age of 14 are welcome.
All rooms have private verandas with mountain views. All Suites and Premier
rooms have log burning fireplaces where one can snuggle up on a chilly
winter's night.
Rooms are stocked with spring water, fresh fruit and homemade biscuits
daily.
Bathrooms have an extensive range of guest toiletries.
Fine dining is a daily occurrence at the Coach House! Renowned for the
finest breakfast in the country, there is no better place to enjoy this than
on the veranda overlooking the pool. The chef and his team specialise in
preparing jolly good food! They use the freshest seasonal ingredients, most
of which are sourced locally, like the Lunsklip River trout, Bonsmara beef,
and sub-tropical fruits and nuts.
The Coach House is also renowned for its wine cellar which stores an
impressive 8000 bottles comprising 200 local and imported wines to please
every palate and pocket.
Vegetarian and special dietary requirements are easily provided.
Whether you are energetically inclined, or prefer a leisurely pace, the
Coach House offers something for everyone. The hotel has a sparkling cool
pool and a heated pool at the spa. At the Coach House you are close to some
memorable areas: the Cycad forest, "home of Modjadji" the legendary rain
queen; Debegeni Falls in the Wood bush; the tea estates at the foot of the
Magoebaskloof Pass; and wilderness areas offering a variety of trails and
hikes.
The Cheviot Church on the estate is a quaint country chapel to enhance the
venue as an ideal wedding choice.
The Agatha Spa is a fully equipped health and wellness facility at the
hotel.
