HOME OF ANGELS TEARS & GRANDE PROVENCE WINES

The Winery - Grande Provence has launched its 1st maiden vintage – The Grande Provence Premium Range – crowning the same with new screw tops!

The new range consists of; The Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon 2004, The Grande Provence Shiraz 2004, The Grande Provence Sauvignon Blanc 2006, and The Grande Provence Chardonnay 2004. This is currently available from the Tasting Room at Grande Provence Estate.

June sees the launch of the newly designed Angels Tears Collection labels and adding to this, Jaco Marais, our wine maker, has created a Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the existing award winning red, pink and white wines. The re-design was implemented in order to marry the total refurbishment of the Grande Provence Wine Estate. The labels are sassy yet remain classical, romantic and indeed beautiful and invite the consumer to not only enjoy the wines but also to live the romantic legend which appears on the back of the shapely bottles that has gained popularity over the years.

On the new label, a pearlescent tear runs down the front label alongside the glossy renaissance angel and on the reverse - a secret angel appears as the wine is consumed, significantly noted with the Superquaffer Red. Secret angels can be found on the cork and sealed with an Angels Tear.

The Gallery – The Grande Provence Gallery is showcasing a new exhibition opening on Sunday 25th June at 11h00 called ‘’From Expressive to Abstract’’. The exhibition will include a selection of paintings by Christo Coetzee and will be opened by Ferrie Blinge-Cotzee this will run until the end of July.

The Restaurant - Celebrated Executive Chef, Vanie Padayachee received a huge honor by being invited to become a member of the ‘Chaîne des Rôtisseurs’. Vanie has launched her new winter menu and we welcome back the return of her popular curry evenings every Monday night. 

The Owner’s Cottage at Grande Provence is proud to be included in the highly coveted Condé Nast World Traveler Hotlist 2006. The Hotlist is an impressive list of 'The 60 Best New Hotels' Worldwide! - Grande Provence features in the South Africa category.

The Jonkershuis - is an ideal setting for special dinners and functions, small weddings and boutique conferences. With a private kitchen, the Jonkershuis can cater for up to 30 guests.

Recently The Grande Provence Wine Estate in Franschhoek was showcased by the magazine TV shows Top Billing, Eastern Mosaic and Pasella.
