GROOTBOS NATURE
RESERVE (Translates to “Big Forest”)
Grootbos Nature Reserve
is a haven of peace and quiet, nestled in 1 100 hectares of famous heath, reed
and Protea flora that grace the coastal plains and mountains of the Southern
Cape. Natural indigenous milkwood forest that will enchant. Flora and fauna
that will delight. Marine life that will enthrall. Tranquility that will
overwhelm you and imbue you with a renewed zest for life. Nature as it was
intended.
Grootbos
is home to about 1000 species of plants, over 100 bird species and an abundance
of small game . Grootbos provides its visitors with a unique opportunity
to explore and learn about the Cape's natural flora and fauna. The reserve is
renowned for its panoramic views from many vantage points, especially its
spectacular views over Walker Bay to the Cape of Good Hope
Lodge Facilities
Reception area, curio shop, all
day bar facilities, lounge and library, restaurant, a large sun deck with
panoramic views and a swimming pool
Dinner: A three course set
menu prepared by a master chef and served in the dining room at 20h00.
Breakfast :Breakfasts are served either in the cottage or in the
restaurant as decided by the guest
