Mahua Kothi offers guests a firsthand experience of the beautiful jungle of Bandhavgarh National Park, and we look forward to creating lifetime memories.

The twelve charming kutiyas (jungle suites) are set within a ten minute drive of Bandhavgarh National Park, with its dramatic landscape of tropical forests and woodlands, and steep rocky hills with flat grasslands in the valleys below. The Park is renowned for tiger, leopard, jackal, jungle cat, wild boar, sloth bear, nilgai and sambar, and over 400 bird species.

In fact, even during construction of the Lodge, our builders and guides were treated to some spectacular sightings: "We spotted an impressive male tiger, walking and scent-marking at a leisurely pace. He then disappeared into a deep ravine as it was getting warmer. Anticipating no further action until evening, we stopped to indulge in some excellent bird watching. To our surprise the tiger re-emerged from the ravine, precisely where we were waiting! It was an amazing sight to see his huge head appear within the grass, barely 20 meters away! It took our breath away.

We also saw a pair of hobbys in a spectacular display of flight, hunting dragonflies in mid-air! Thereafter, we were even more spoilt by the sight of a kestrel flying away with a bird in its talons. The prey dropped to the ground and we saw that it was a jungle bush quail."
