A DAY
AT MOMBO
Below is
a
suggestion
as to
what may
happen
in camp
during a
typical
day at
Mombo-
We must
stress
though
that as
daily
wildlife
sightings
tend to
be
unpredictable
and game
can
quite
often be
in camp,
any
itinerary
that we
plan can
throw
any
schedule.....
right
out of
schedule!
05h00/06h00
- An
early
start to
the say
with a
5/6h00
wake up
call.
Shower
and rise
before
sunrise,
seeing
day
break at
Mombo
whilst
sitting
eating
breakfast
in front
of the
floodplain
is a
must -
those
who
sleep
through
do not
know
what
they
miss!
The
light
continental
breakfast
consists
of
cereals,
tea/coffee/juices
and
pastries,
all
served
in the
dining
area.
05h30/06h30
- Depart
for your
morning
game
drive,
returning
to camp
at
approximately
10h00.
An early
departure
is
essential
as this
is when
the
animals
are at
the most
active.
10h00/11h00
- Brunch
will be
served,
this
will
consist
of a
selection
of
breakfast
and
lunch
dishes
ranging
from
freshly
baked
bread to chilli
calamari!
From now
until
afternoon
tea,
guests
will be
at
leisure,
lazing
by the
pool,
reading
the game
reports
in the
library
or
walking
and
visiting
Mombo's
hide.
Talks on
the
Delta
are
often
given by
the
guides
16h00/15h00
-
Afternoon
tea will
be
served -
this
will
consist
of a
selection
of sweet
and
savory
snacks,
just in
case you
hadn't
eaten
enough!
16h30/15h30
- Depart
on your
afternoon
game
drive -
drinks
and
snacks
will be
served
for
sundowner
during
the
course
of the
activity.

to camp
(depending
on park
rules).

drinks
and
snacks
will be
served
at the
bar
20h30/20h00
- Three
course

generally
speaking
the
starter
and
desert
is
served,
whilst
the main
course
is
sometimes
buffet
style.
21h30/21h00
- Coffee
and
liqueurs
will be
served
at the
camp
fire
over
talks
about

These

on for
