Game viewing at Mombo Camp
 

The excellent game at Mombo has made this area Botswana's top wildlife documentary location. National Geographic, the BBC and many others have filmed here, regarding Mombo as having some of the best all year round game viewing in Africa.

With the added bonus of being the only place in Botswana where the big five can be seen, Mombo’s game viewing is not only unique but constantly superb throughout the year. Abundant big game viewing is possible in all seasons with the highlight of the area being the vast concentrations of all the plains game and of all the predators – especially the big cats.

Lion and leopard sightings are particularly good with resident prides of lion being seen on virtually every game drive and leopard being so undeterred by people that they have been seen walking straight through camp (and on one occasion actually sitting on the dining table!). Guests can also see large herds of Buffalo, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, White and Black Rhino, Hyena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra. Birdlife is prolific, with waterfowl and waders being particularly common.
