Singita Lebombo
Lodge
Poised over one
of Africa's most
dramatic
landscapes in
the Kruger
National Park's
glorious
south-east,
Lebombo Lodge is
set against a
country that is
abundant in
water, antelope
and big cats,
with colours
that shift with
the changing
seasons. Lebombo
Lodge was
created as a
transient
witness to the
land,
constructed of
steel, glass and
wood in
reverence to the
African expanse
before it.
Walkways snake
their way along
a ridge dotted
with surreal
euphorbia that
praise the sky,
at Singita
Lebombo the
lofts clasp like
eagles' nests to
the
mountainside.
Sparsely adorned
spaces created
of wall-to-wall
glass; Lebombo
Lodge's suites
are places of
interaction with
a wilderness
that echoes to
the soul.
No attempt has been made to capture the experience at
Singita Lebombo with embellishment or excess. Every aspect of the
design was refined by the intensity of the place, reduced to where form and
function unite. The private concession in the Kruger National Park game
reserve in which the multi award-winning Singita Lebombo Lodge is located, is
Africa at its untamed best. Tatler Travel Guide recently named Singita Lebombo
Lodge Hotel of the Year and we certainly couldn't agree more!
- Travel Guide Hotel of The Year
- Unbelievable views from the stylish cliff-face suites
- Superlative cuisine and wines, characteristic of the Singita properties
- Private concession with the highest concentrations of game in the Kruger
National Park
Avant-garde architecture has removed as many barriers as
possible and the Singita Lebombo suites, which are secluded amongst dramatic
Euphorbia, rocks and trees on a cliff face, allow guests to be at one with
nature.
Ceiling-to-floor glass on all three sides of the suites creates spectacular one
hundred and eighty degree views of the game reserve and winding river below. The
suites have wooden floors and open plan bathrooms; outdoor showers are a
wonderfully natural experience.
Décor at Singita Lebombo Lodge is a melange of art deco and ethnicity. Living
spaces are minimalist and expansive and encompass a vast swimming pool, open
sided deck, indoor and outdoor dining areas, business facilities and a library.
One of Singita’s trademarks is exceptional cuisine and wines and their team of
world-class chefs prepare innovative dishes incorporating local ingredients and
lots of wild flavors.
Rangers claim that the highest concentration of game in the Kruger National Park
is found around Singita Lebombo, and early morning and evening game drives are
highly rewarding. Much can be learnt of the smaller creatures and vegetation of
the Kruger National Park from your knowledgeable ranger and tracker. |
