Gorge Swing
The novel gorge swing consists of a giant swing - 95m
long and 120m high above water, with a 70m free fall before you begin
swinging.
High wire is suspended across the gorge at a point where
the width is 316m and 120m deep. A harness is attached to the jumper, the
other end of which is pivoted to the middle of the cable. The jumper leaps
off the edge of the gorge, free falling about 70m before going into a
pendulum type swing.
The Foofie Slide
Imagine the adrenalin rush when traveling at a speed of
106 km’s, hurtling 425m across the gorge, while suspended 120m above the
breathtaking beauty of the Zambezi River below.
As the river zig zags down the Batoka Gorges, our cable is suspended across
from one side to the other. For this product you are harnessed and attached
to a pulley, and then launched over the edge picking up speed as you descend
over the water. This will be the longest Foofie Slide ride in the world.
Abseil & Rapp-jump
Abseil 70 feet down a brilliant sheer cliff, descending
backwards or Rapp jumping forwards and walking down the gorge as if to defy
gravity itself.
Suspended against the rock you can jump out and swing yourself from side to
side or round in twists in as timid or confident a manor as you feel! With
this product you can try both abseiling and rapp jumping. Abseiling is
descending backwards down the gorge and lowering yourself all the way to the
bottom. Rapp Jumping is when our harness is connected to your back enabling
you to run or walk down the cliff facing down the gorge.
The Flying Fox
Imagine taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm and
soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below.
The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a
great appetizer before you try the Foofie and Gorge Swing.
Zambezi Jet Boating Victoria Falls
The 30 minute jet boat trip can be combined with a
spectacular helicopter flight (from a heli pad by the river) through the
gorge flying just above the water level and then over the Victoria Falls.
This dramatic heli flight is available either in to / out of the gorge.
