Visiting
Exclusive Wine Estates
Cape Winelands Tour
Due to AFRICAN CLASSIC ENCOUNTER'S close involvement in
the South African Wine Industry, we have been able to
secure the exclusive ability for our clients to visit
the most prestigious wine farms in South Africa. Many of
these are inaccessible to the public and thus will
provide a novel experience to our select clients.
-
The Winelands is
South Africa’s
oldest and most
beautiful wine
producing area and
offers a chance to
sample several
hundred different
wines in a
historical and
superbly scenic
setting.
-
What makes this
tour special is that
we visit an organic
wine- farm which
usually produces
smaller yields of
higher quality
wines. This farm is
also one of the few
farms in the area
which has taken
steps redress the
semi feudal social
structure of the
estate. We also pop
in at a cheetah
outreach programme
and raptor
sanctuary.
-
Visit SA's
second oldest, and
historic, university
town of Stellenbosch
with its centuries
old, oak lined
avenues and classic
Cape Dutch
architecture.
-
Treat yourself
to lunch at SA’s
culinary capital,
Franschoek. Art
galleries,
restaurants and
chocolatiers line
the quaint village
streets, while the
most interesting
buildings are to be
found on the
original Huguenot
farms and wine
estates.
African
Classic Encounters are able to arrange the following at
these premier wine farms:
· In
addition to our ability to visit these exclusive wine
farms, we are able to arrange for lunches, dinners and
wine tastings hosted by the Master Winemakers at many of
these elite estates.
This may range from black tie dinners at La Motte,
unveiling of new releases from the barrel at Meerlust or
an informal snoek braai (fish bbq) at Beyerskloof.
Guests will enjoy accompaniment by the Cellar Masters
and/or owners of these estates.
We also facilitate the use of these estates as venues
for elite, special events, corporate functions and
selected product launches – catering for from 20 to 200
people.
All logistics including theming, planning, entertainment
and catering are meticulously arranged by African
Classic Encounters. The wine farms provide a
breathtaking backdrop for any event or occasion and a
distinct air of exclusivity.
